Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 1: 1-28

Focus

“And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth.” (1 Samuel 1: 12)

Our Focal Scripture makes mention of how Eli marked the mouth of Hannah as she continued praying. Hannah did not get God’s attention through a one off prayer; she got God’s attention after a period of continuous prayer. She prayed, and she kept praying. At a time when she could have given up seeing that her prayers were yet to be answered, she kept praying.

Friend, if one off prayers have not yielded results yet, try continuous prayers. Keep praying even if you can’t see any sign of your desires; keep praying even if you have been on the same prayer points without results; keep praying even if the odds are against you; keep praying even if you can’t see your answers yet; keep praying again and again. Don’t let prayer be an action for you; let it be your lifestyle; let it be who you are.

Hannah kept praying until she got a response from God; she prayed until the prayer environment she created turned the tabled in her favour. If you keep praying, prayers will turn the tables in your favour. If you keep praying, the impossibilities in your life shall become possible. If you keep praying, even God will have no option but to grant you answers. If you keep praying, you will make your life a zone for the supernatural.

Remember, Hannah did not get her answers in one day. Hannah did not even stop praying because she prayed and didn’t get immediate answers. Don’t give up on prayers because you prayed and you are yet to receive answers. Don’t lose faith in God because your desired results are not yet a reality; don’t lose your confidence in God simply because you are yet to see your expectations become a reality. Don’t stop praying for whatever reason.

God does not store prayers; He answers them. Ask God to give you answers for the prayers you have either made or are yet to make. Pray on; and don’t stop praying.

Declaration
