Divine Evidence

3rd August 2021

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 10: 1-12

Focus

“Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?” (1 Samuel 10: 1)

In our Focal Scripture, after Samuel anointed Saul with a vial of oil, he kissed Saul, symbolizing his support and loyalty to the new king. God had just commanded that Saul be anointed as king; kingship that was divinely orchestrated had just been unveiled in the life of Saul, and the next thing that happened was a show of support from Samuel. Something spiritual happened to Saul, and it caused a major physical response to show forth.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: for everything the Lord has worked out in you, there shall be a physical response. For every power of God that has become resident in you, the power of hell will bow to you. For every spiritual elevation that God has caused to happen in your life, the helpers you need will show up in grand style. For every divine deposit in you, there shall be a manifestation of favours from all sides.

Samuel may have ordered Saul around previously, but the moment he anointed Saul as king, he turned around to bow to Saul. Get set: the same people who led you around will soon bow to you; the battles that once subdued you will come under your feet; the people who opposed and oppressed you will bow to you; the people who rejected you will say yes to you; the hand of the Lord upon you shall come with visible manifestations.

The action of Samuel was an act of honour for the new king of Israel. Hear me as I hear the Lord: by virtue of what the Lord is already working out in your life, you shall be positioned in the place of honour and influence. By the hand of the Lord upon your life, you shall receive the honour of kings and royals. By the works of the Lord in your life, you shall stand on the mountain of relevance and influence.

Whatsoever the Lord has done in you, or is doing in you, shall show forth with uncommon evidence that terminates all arguments. The hand of God upon you shall bring forth mighty evidence.
