God’s Presence

24th August 2019

Scripture Reading: Joshua 6: 1-20

“And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.” (Joshua 6: 4)

On the pathway to the conquest of Jericho, God told Joshua to command the seven priests to bear rams’ horns before the Ark. So the Ark of the Covenant was part of the journey to the possession of Jericho. The Ark was symbolic of God’s presence; so God’s presence was an integral part of the conquest of Jericho. They didn’t get that territory because they were strong enough to possess it; they got it because God’s presence helped out.

Friend, as you march towards your ‘Jericho’, never trade the presence of God for anything. God’s presence is the harbinger of your good news and increase; God’s presence is the precursor for that mega result you desire from the works of your hands; God’s presence is the winning formula for your battles; God’s presence will cause the mountains standing in front of you to skip like rams; God’s presence is your master key.

Wherever you are per time, savour the presence of God. Pray in the Holy Ghost as frequently as you can; soak your environment with prayers; let the Spirit of God find expression through you; walk in the consciousness of the God who is able to play strategic roles that will bring the results you need; intentionally deploy God’s presence in your endeavour; ‘carry’ God’s presence with you wherever you go and whatever you do.

The walls that cannot fall by your efforts will fall because the presence of God is speaking for you. The achievements that cannot come easy shall come if the presence of God is manifest in and around you; the major milestones that may have been elusive in the past will become easy realities when the presence of God is fanned into flames all around you and yours.

Don’t make the mistake of rolling alone without the presence of God. Acknowledge His presence in all you do, and it will be made more manifest towards you.

God’s presence opens doors for me, in Jesus’ name!
