It is instructive to observe that after passing through the iron gate that led into the city, and after passing by one street, the angel that took Peter out of the prison departed from him, and Peter needed to continue the journey on his own. The angel did all that needed to be done at some point, and left Peter to do the rest all by himself. After a period of being literally carried out of prison, Peter needed to continue all by himself.
Friend, there comes a time when you must find your way all by yourself. There comes a time when you must graduate from taking baby steps to making giant strides. There comes a time when you need to go beyond the easy pathway of having everything done for you, and begin to make things happen. There comes a time when you must keep moving even when the angel is no longer there to open the gates. There comes a time when you must find your way regardless of who walked away.
Peter’s movement had been made easy by the angel who walked ahead of him; he didn’t need to struggle or even pray before the iron gates were opened. He didn’t need to do anything special to leave the prison. Peter left the prison without much efforts, but got to a point when he needed to start making efforts. Dare to brace up for that season when you will make things happen by yourself. Dare to grow for your new season.
Peter continued moving, and he found the place where his brethren prayed for him. He kept moving, and he located the people who needed to see him. If you dare to keep moving, you will walk into your next result with ease. If you dare to keep moving, you will soon see the result of your travail and be satisfied. If you dare to keep moving, those destinations that seemed beyond your reach will become reachable sooner than later.
Even if the angel departs, keep moving. Even if your movement is no longer as easy as before, keep moving.
