Scripture Reading: 1 Kings 18: 40-46

“And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.” (1 Kings 18: 40)

In our Focal Scripture, Elijah took the prophets of Baal and slew them all in the brook Kishon. Baal had one major characteristic: Baal was often given human sacrifices (see 2 Kings 16 vs. 3, and 2 Kings 21 vs. 6). Baal was that idol that wanted to swallow destinies of people. Baal was that spirit that would not be pacified until someone had gone down physically. Baal was that spirit that wanted to spread death to its victims.

Friend, as you push forward in these ember months, hear God’s prophetic word: you will not die. Your blood will not be spilled; no eater of flesh or drinker of blood shall have you as a meal. Those connected to you will not go down; those linked to your destiny will not be meat for the powers of darkness; your family will not bury and will not be buried; whatever is yours shall not be fed to the devil; you will not be the devil’s meat.

Usually, for every human sacrifice that came to Baal, there was another human who made it happen. Anybody that has decided to offer you on any satanic altar, let the fire of God answer them in full measure; every hater that insists that your flesh will be meat and your blood will be drink for the enemy, may their evil wishes against you backfire on them. Let the fire of God sweep away every man that wants to sacrifice you.

The power of the grave is broken over you and yours. The power of death is expelled far away from you; you will not be a sacrifice for another man’s advancement; you will not go down for another to go up; you will not be a victim of another man’s enchantment and incantations; you will not be the subject of satanic attacks and manipulations; you will not be the enemy’s meat, neither will you be his drink.

You have a covenant of life in Christ Jesus, and until you have fulfilled your days and your assignment, there shall be no death.

My flesh will not be meat, neither will my blood be drink for satanic altars, in Jesus’ name!
