Our Focal Scripture sheds light on what led to the dry bones. The bones were bones of men who were slain. Some men came to fight a battle, but the battle that came against them consumed them; the battle they faced turned against them; the battle they faced prevailed over them; in contemporary terms, what came against them had a superior fire power and they simply caved in. The battles they faced marked their downfall.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your battles will not consume you. Whatever has come against you will not mark the end of your destiny; whatever darts the enemy has thrown at you will not mark the end of your life; that health challenge will not consume you; that financial distress will not consume you; that opposition and conspiracy against you will not consume you; that battle against you will not put you out of circulation.
The men that eventually became dry bones became victims of other men. They became victims of other men’s actions and decisions. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be another man’s victim. You will not be a victim of another man’s mistake; you will not be a victim of another man’s decision; you will not be a victim of another man’s success; you will not be a victim of another man’s vocation or endeavour.
Every power of hell that wants to make you a victim, I command it to bow to the Lordship of Jesus. Every plan of the enemy to cut short your destiny on account of what you are currently facing, I say no. No circumstance will swallow you; no battle will swallow you; no power of darkness will swallow you; no act of wickedness will swallow you; no attack of the enemy will swallow you; you simply cannot be swallowed.
Anything that wants to swallow you must first be prepared to swallow the God in whom you live, move and have your being. If they cannot swallow God, then they cannot swallow you.
