The name of the person whom Elisha selected to go and anoint Jehu, was not mentioned. All that was said about him was that he was one of the sons of the prophets. He was a prophet in training. He was a man under tutelage. He didn’t have a ‘name’, but he dwelt under the tutelage of a great man. He was yet to have a big name, but he was content with being under the tutelage of one with a big name. His only qualification was that he was under the tutelage of Elisha.
Friend, it may not be fashionable or convenient or even the popular thing to do, but dare to be under tutelage. Put yourself under the tutelage of one who is ahead of you in things of the spirit. Submit yourself to glean the wisdom of those who are already ahead of you in ministry, career, business, etc. Be humble enough to learn from those who know what you do not know. Be focused enough to know that you must grow and be tutored before the day of your manifestation comes.
That son of the prophet moved from being under tutelage to the place of responsibility and manifestation. He moved from being trained to being used to accomplish divine agenda. As you submit yourself for spiritual tutelage, God will use you to accomplish divine agenda. You may not have a name, but if only you are willing to remain under tutelage, your time for manifestation will come sooner than later.
That voice that tells you never to learn from those ahead of you, is an evil voice that doesn’t want you to go far in life. That attitude that puffs you up when you should stay under and learn, is not of God. That attitude that wants to be on the stage and be famous without being filled behind the scenes, is not of God. It is not out of place to desire the spotlight, but it is out of place to miss the preparation that should take you there.
Stay in the place of tutelage; glean all the wisdom you can glean; learn all you can learn; connect yourself to the divine encounters of other men; enjoy the place of your tutelage, and you will meet the spotlight in due course.
