At a time when God wanted to reveal His will for the children of Israel, the Angel asked Zechariah, “What do you see”? Zechariah replied by saying that he saw a candlestick made of gold, with a bowl on it, and lamps connected to pipes, etc. What Zechariah saw was a picture of the ‘menorah’ in the temple, designed according to God’s instruction to Moses (see Exodus 25: 31-40).
Zechariah was a priest; he knew what a ‘menorah’ in the temple should look like. He was familiar with the picture that God was showing him. So God used a familiar thing to reveal an unfamiliar plan for His people. God used what was familiar to show forth an uncommon, unfamiliar work He had in store for His people. God used the familiar to make the unfamiliar to happen.
Friend, God is about to use the familiar things you know to give you an unfamiliar miracle. God is about to use the people you may already be familiar with to make unfamiliar opportunities to come your way. God is about to use the same career you are familiar with to usher in good news into your life. God is about to use that same client you have always known to make new things happen for you. The familiar will soon birth the unfamiliar.
Get set: in places you are familiar with, you are about to harvest unfamiliar results. In activities you are familiar with, you are about to witness a new surge of uncommon accomplishments that will blow your mind and cause you to celebrate. In the environments where you have always existed, new things you did not bargain for shall come forth. You will see gold in places where you may have seen clay in time past.
Ask the Lord to cause the uncommon to come forth from the common. Ask the Lord to cause the unfamiliar to come forth from the familiar.
