Saul was still alive when God commanded Samuel to go and anoint David as the next King of Israel. Saul would eventually show himself to be an opposition to the emergence of David. Saul would eventually show himself to be someone who was not prepared to leave the throne for David in peace. Saul went after David and sought to kill him. So the opposition to David’s coronation was still alive, when God ordered David’s elevation.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: even if the opposition against you is still there, God will lift you higher as He has already planned. God will bless you despite the opposition that is hanging around; God will still lift you despite the opposition that says no to your advancement; God will still make a way for you despite the powers that say you will not move forward; God will override your opposition and challenges to lift you.
The presence of an opposition did not stop David from being crowned as king. Hear me again: your opposition will not stop you; the fact that you are surrounded by people who do not like you will not stop you from attaining the heights that God has destined for you; the fact that some people are perpetually conspiring against you will not stop your advancement; the mere existence of opposition will not stop your rising.
Despite your challenges, you will make it, and you will hit your targets; despite the weaknesses, you will make it; despite the roadblocks, you will rise higher; despite the negative reports, you will move to the next level; despite the presence of your competitors, you will still hit your targets; despite the presence of those who say you are not qualified, you will keep rising.
David’s rising was God ordained, and a mere mortal was not strong enough to stop it. Your greatness is God’s idea, your rising is God ordained, and no challenge, conspiracy or mortal man will stop you.
