Thrones And Crowns

Access To Kings

28th July 2020

Scripture Reading: Nehemiah 2: 1-9

Focus

“Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah;” (Nehemiah 2: 7)

Nehemiah requested from the king that he be given letters that would be addressed to governors beyond the river, whose provinces he would pass through on his way to Judah. Those governors were rulers over smaller domains, and Nehemiah was to get a letter that would grant him favours before those governors. It was a letter that would grant access to Nehemiah. It was a letter that would position Nehemiah before rulers and kings.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: God will grant you access to the kings of this world. God will grant you access to the corridors of power; God will position you strategically amongst men that matter in the affairs of this life; God will position you strategically in the eyes of the men in authority; God will grant you access to high places; God will grant you access to great men that you have not even met; God will give you access to kings.

By virtue of the access that Nehemiah was given to the governors of different provinces, things that may have been difficult for others became easy for him. So he got access to kings, and things became easy for him. Hear me as I hear the Lord: God will cause you to have access to kings that will make your life easier for you. God will use the kings of this world to open doors for you; God will use the kings of this world to make a way for you.

The governors that were to receive the letters that were given to Nehemiah may not have known him, they didn’t necessarily owe him any allegiance, but because they were commanded by the king who was superior to them, they had no option but to help Nehemiah. The kings of this world may not necessarily know you, they may not be your friends, but by the command of God, they will serve you interest.

Receive access to men that matter; receive access to kings and nobles; receive access to royalty; receive access to the kings of this world.
