In our Focal Scripture, Eli counseled Hannah to stay away from wine. Hannah was praying intensely, she was praying with everything in her, but her body language appeared to be suggestive of drunkenness. What attracted Eli’s attention was the appearance of drunkenness; what attracted Eli was something that should be considered a weakness.
Eli eventually spoke a word concerning Hannah, and that word came to pass. Eli spoke a word after being attracted by a weakness, and Hannah received a miracle that sounds like a lie. So what initially looked like a weakness on the part of Hannah eventually became a harbinger of divine intervention. Hannah’s weakness literally caused God to swing into action.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your weakness will attract divine intervention. Whatever comes across as a negative picture in your life will cause God to show up like never before; whatever is making you a laughing stock in the eyes of people will cause God to give you miracles that will make men celebrate with you; the areas of your tears and pain shall become areas of testimony. Your weakness is about to attract divine attention.
Don’t lose sleep when it seems that you are faced with situations that are not good for the eyes to behold. The same God who is able to turn your tears into testimonies will do same for you if only you believe. The same God that turned the tables when it seemed that Hannah was finished will turn the tables and cause your tears of pain to be exchanged with tears of joy. Your low places will become high places by the finger of God.
Hand over your places of shame and weakness to God and He will cause them to become places of testimony.
