Battle For Establishment

20th March 2020

Scripture Reading: Luke 17: 11-19

Focus

“And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.” (Luke 17: 11)

Our Focal Scripture tells the tale of how Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem. Jerusalem did not originally belong to Israel; it was a land they gained after they fought a battle with Adonizedek and other kings (see Joshua 10). From the place of battle, Israel gained a new territory. The place of their struggle became the place of their extraordinary establishment. In the place where they fought, they were established.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in the place of your struggles, you will be established. The place of your battles will become the place of your coronation. In the same places where you were mocked, you will be celebrated. In the places where men came against you, you will rise higher than ever before. In the places where conspiracies arose against you, you will be lifted higher than your conspirators. Your battles will lead to lifting.

The battle between Joshua and Adonizedek had other kings who fought on the side of Adonizedek, it involved a conspiracy, but it eventually ended in Israel’s favour. Enemies conspired, but in the end, Israel gained a new territory. Hear me again: as the conspiracies against you mount up, it shall end in your favour. Those that are conspiring against you are simply watering the grounds of your destiny for your extraordinary establishment.

Your places of struggles are changing to places of testimony. Your places of bad news are becoming places of good news; your places of rejection are becoming places of acceptance; your places of confinement are becoming places of mega expansion; your places of subjection and subjugation are becoming places of your bursting forth; your places of loss are becoming places of gain.

Get set: every battle that comes your way will increase you. Every setback will become a set up for your increase and expansion. As surely as the Lord lives, your battles will lead to establishment.
