Be A Creator

16th October 2019

Scripture Reading: 1 Kings 18: 40-46

Focus

“So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,” (1 Kings 18: 42)

In our Focal Scripture, Ahab went to eat and drink on the instructions of Elijah, while Elijah went to the top of Carmel, and prayed until the rains began. The dryness in Israel began in the first place because of the proclamation of Elijah; so the challenge that Ahab faced was caused by Elijah. Ahab simply became a victim of a circumstance that another man created. Elijah was a creator of circumstances, to which Ahab was a victim.

Friend, be an arranger of circumstances. Be the one to call the shots from your place of prayer; be the first to arise and pass decrees that your environment will adhere to; be the one to turn the hands of the clock in whatsoever direction that favours you; be the one to create the circumstances and resources that will cause others to dance and celebrate; be a creator of good news; be a portal of divine power, manifesting with results.

Men who control life are men who would be producers rather than consumers; men who are truly in charge are those men who cause things to happen rather than waiting to see how things would happen; men who are highly relevant are those who intentionally create what they want to see around them whilst making others mere partakers or even victims of what they created; men who control the affairs of this world are the real bosses.

Ahab was king over Israel, but it was a Prophet of God who was a carrier of the power of God that had the influence, power and access to cause an event that affected the entire nation of Israel. If you want to be in charge, then be a carrier of power. The power in your inner man which you are able to wield is what truly makes you a man in charge. In all your getting, get more and more of the presence and power of God in you.

Remember, you can either determine the course of events or become a victim of what others determined. Make your choice.

Declaration

I am a creator of circumstances; I will not be a victim of another man’s creation, in Jesus’ name!
