Change The Atmosphere

29th April 2021

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 30: 1-20

Focus

“And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;” (1 Samuel 30: 1)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the Amalekites invaded Ziklag. The territory of Ziklag had become a Philistine territory before David began to dwell in it. So Ziklag had a Philistine identity before the Amalekites invaded it. Ziklag had a Philistine atmosphere around it before it was invaded by the Amalekites. The name ‘Philistia’ means ‘invasion’; so the Amalekites simply replicated what was already in the atmosphere.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the negativity in the atmosphere will not come your way. Whatever the enemy has projected into the atmosphere will not be your lot. Whatever is working against people in your environment will not work against you. Whatsoever is pulling down those around you will not pull you down. Whatever satanic covering that is hindering those connected to you will not hinder you.

Hear me as I hear the Lord: your case is different. You belong to Jesus; you don’t belong to the forces at work in your environment; you don’t belong to the forces of darkness that have chosen to make a mess of your destiny; you don’t belong to the negativity that wants to rule over the atmosphere where you are; you don’t belong to whatever negativity that is playing out in the economy; you don’t belong to the gates of hell.

If Jesus has redeemed you, then you belong to the company of those who change the atmosphere that they are in. If Jesus has redeemed you, then you can change the atmosphere with your proclamations. Speak to your environment and it will hear you loud and clear; speak to every negativity that has come to stay, and it will leave. Dismantle the enchantments of the wicked around you and it will have no power over you.

With your proclamations, change every negative atmosphere that is not in your favour; speak to the gates of your city and command it to be obedient to you; don’t let any negative atmosphere prevail over you.

Declaration

No negative atmosphere will prevail over me; I silence every voice of negativity around me, in Jesus’ name!
