Congratulations

Congratulations

10th January 2020

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 10: 1-7

Focus

“Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?” (1 Samuel 10: 1)

In our Focal Scripture, Samuel kissed Saul, and proclaimed him as captain of the Lord’s army in Israel. In the Hebrew culture, one of the ways to say congratulations was to kiss the person to be congratulated. So Samuel congratulated Saul; God had spoken a word to Samuel concerning Saul, and in a matter of time, that word led to congratulations. The word of the Lord concerning Saul led to congratulations.

Friend, hear me today: every word of the Lord concerning you shall lead to congratulations. Every promise of God concerning your life shall bring you to a place where men will have no choice but to congratulate you; every divine proclamation upon your life shall attract a divine performance that will cause men to congratulate you; every word of God that you have heard and believed shall take you to the place of congratulations.

Saul was yet to sit on the throne and wear the crown; he had only received the anointing for kingship when he was congratulated. Hear me as I hear the Lord: all you have at the moment might just be the divine empowerment that God has given you, but in a matter of time, that same divine empowerment shall lead to congratulations. Whatever God has put in you shall cause men to celebrate you again and again.

Today, let me be the first to congratulate you for all that you will achieve and become in the year 2020 and beyond. Let me be the first to congratulate you for the mighty works that God will use you to accomplish; I congratulate you for the prophecies that will become reality this year; I congratulate you for the greatness that will be made manifest in your life this year.

It shall be called a 2020 of persistent, continuous and back to back congratulations.

Declaration

In 2020, I shall be continuously congratulated, in Jesus’ name!
