Don’t Walk Away

Divinely Advertised

23rd December 2021

Scripture Reading: Matthew 2: 1-12

Focus

“1. Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2. Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.” (Matthew 2: 1-2)

When Jesus was born, there was no special announcement by His earthly parents. He wasn’t even born in a spectacular city, He was born in a manger devoid of anything splendid, but the moment He was born, wise men came from the east to Jerusalem in search of Him. According to Luke’s account of Jesus’ birth (see Luke 2 vs. 10), an angel of the Lord began making announcements once Jesus was born.

A divine advertisement followed Jesus’ birth. He didn’t need to announce Himself, He wasn’t even in a position to announce Himself, and heaven announced Him. The message of Jesus’ birth was spread by heaven’s broadcasters. Heaven took responsibility for advertising Jesus on earth. Heaven took responsibility for advertising a man on earth. There was a divine advertisement. Heaven released divine trumpeters to announce Jesus.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will be divinely advertised. God will speak to men about you, and they will come to you without your invitation. God will advertise your skills and abilities to men in high places; God will advertise your potentials and potentialities to men who need to hear about you; God will take responsibility to advertise you in a way you can’t imagine or afford; God will send angels to advertise you.

When heaven advertises a man, wise men come willingly to that man. When heaven advertises a man, the fame of that man goes global. Get set: as heaven advertises you, your fame will spread abroad, men you have never even met will come looking for you, results that others fight for will locate you at your doorstep, doors will open to you without your knocking, and your results shall greatly exceed your efforts and input.

Ask God to position the trumpeters of heaven to announce you to your generation. Ask God to speak to men on your behalf; ask God to advertise you in high places; ask God to cause your influence to spread to all nations.

Declaration

I shall be divinely advertised, in Jesus’ name!
