Thrones And Crowns

Eternally Relevant

21st March 2020

Scripture Reading: Luke 17: 11-19

Focus

“And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.” (Luke 17: 11)

According to our Focal Scripture, Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem. One important issue to note about Jerusalem is that it was mentioned in the Revelations of John. Revelations 21 speaks of the New Jerusalem. So apart from being the name of a city on earth, Jerusalem was also the name of a city that emerged from heaven. Put differently, the name of Jerusalem counted among men and among the heavens.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will count among men and among the heavens. You will be important among men and also important in God’s scheme of things. You will matter in the affairs of men and in the affairs of the heavens. You will not end up as a mere statistic on earth; you will be a key player in God’s agenda. God will cause you to attain a level of relevance that will exceed your days on this earth.

Jerusalem was the place of God’s presence; it was the place where the temple was built; it first became significant on earth because it housed the Temple of God, and in a matter of time, even God Himself was forced to consider having a New Jerusalem that would arise from heaven. After housing God’s presence at an earthly level, God created a new level of relevance for Jerusalem that men could not have created.

Did you know that being a carrier of God’s presence is your highway to eternal relevance? Did you know that being God’s abode on earth is a recipe for making your life count in God’s scheme of things? Did you know that God Himself is desirous to make you much more than you can be by your human efforts? Did you know that God wants you to become heaven’s brand representative, configured for eternal relevance?

Don’t seek to only be relevant among men; seek that God will make you eternally relevant.

Declaration
