Exceeding Expectations

26th March 2021

Scripture Reading: Mark 16: 1-9

Focus

“And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?” (Mark 16: 3)

When the women asked themselves who will roll away the stone from the door of the sepulcher, it was because they wanted to anoint the body of Jesus. They had their own personal reasons for wanting the stone to be rolled away; they had a reason for wanting a miracle to happen; they had their own reason for wanting to make a head way; they had a reason for wanting the help that would surmount the challenge they were to face.

God did not take away the stone that led into the sepulcher so that the women could see and anoint Jesus’ body. He took away the stone so that they could hear the good news of Jesus’ resurrection. They wanted the miracle so that they could see the body of Jesus, but God gave them something better than they expected; God gave them an answer that exceeded their expectations. God gave them a better result.

Friend, if there be any expectation you have from God, get set: He will give you a higher and better result. God will give you more than you asked for; God will exceed your expectations; God will give you more than you planned for; God will give you more than you factored into your calculations; God will give you what you never imagined would become your reality soon; God will give you a result that is far better than your target.

When a man wants to give to you, he gives as much as he can afford; but when God gives to you, He gives more than men would ordinarily afford, and He gives more than a man would have wanted to give you. When God gives, He gives according to His own capability. Concerning your career, business, ministry, family, finances, etc, God will give you answers far above your expectations.

Get set for your new season where you shall have more than you asked for; get set to receive above your expectations.
