Fight Your Battles

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 10: 1-12

Focus

“Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?” (1 Samuel 10: 1)

In our Focal Scripture, Prophet Samuel told Saul that God had anointed him to be captain over His inheritance. A captain is a military commander who leads a battalion to war. So Saul was meant to lead the army of Israel to war, in his capacity as king. There was a territory to defend, and there were enemies to confront and conquer. There were attackers that Saul needed to face and destroy. There were battles to be won.

Friend, God did not only raise you so that you can sit on thrones and wear crowns. God raised you so that you can wage war against the enemy. God raised you to disrupt the forces of darkness and bring the rulership of Christ to your environment. God raised you so that the gates of hell will not prevail. God raised you so that every seat of Satan around you will be broken into pieces. God raised you to tear down the walls of the enemy.

Arise against every satanic system that has arisen against you and people connected to you; arise as a warrior against the evil altars that rule over your locale; arise in battle against the evil voices that say you will not rise above your current level; arise in warfare against spiritual wickedness playing out around you; arise against every force of darkness that wants to make a mess of your destiny and destinies of those connected to you.

Saul was not called as a captain so that he can watch the enemies of God take victory over Israel. He was anointed so that he can take victory over the enemies of God and enemies of Israel. God raised you, not to watch evil prevail, but for you to prevail over every evil that arisen against you and those connected to you. You have the anointing to defeat the enemy. You have what it takes to dislodge every satanic prince that is bearing rule.

The days of allowing the enemy a free course around you, are over. Face the enemy, fight him, defeat him, and defend God’s inheritance around you.

Declaration

I rise to defeat every enemy of my destiny, in Jesus’ name!

Memory Verse

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6: 12)
