Financially Ready

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 9: 1-13

Focus

“And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:” (2 Kings 9: 1)

When it was time for Jehu to be anointed as king of Israel, Elisha commanded one of the sons of the prophets to gird up his loins. In the Oriental Culture, men often wore long dresses and also wore a girdle around the waist. One of the things that were tied to the waist girdle, was a pouch which was used to carry money safely. So part of the preparation of that son of the prophets, was to wear money as part of his dressing. He was meant to be financially ready for whatever came his way.

Friend, are you at that point where you are not financially ready for any major issue that may come up or has already come up? Are you at that point where you do not have resources to deal with any challenge that may arise? Are you at that point where you are simply not financially ready to accomplish the feats you want to accomplish? Are you at that point where you are not in touch with the finances that you truly need?

Today, I pray for you: may the Lord cause you to wear money like a garment. May you receive a miraculous supply of money into your life. May you, like Peter, catch the fish that has the coins. May the gates of finances be opened to you. May the doors of financial increase be opened to you. May the grace for wealth come upon you. May your hands count the sort of money you have never counted before. May you be financially ready.

Even Solomon in all his wisdom realized that money is a defence (see Ecclesiastes 7 vs. 12). Some of the battles that you may be currently faced with, will simply bow if you had finances to deal with them; and today, I pray for you: may the grace to come in contact with huge financial breakthroughs come your way. May the grace to receive more than enough be upon you. May the grace to access financial resources be on you.

The days of financial embarrassment are over. The days of ‘not enough’ finances, are over. Receive the grace to be financially ready for exploits.
