Grow Your Strength

18th July 2020

Scripture Reading: Ezekiel 37: 1-14

Focus

“Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.” (Ezekiel 37: 9)

Our Focal Scripture describes the dry bones as people who were slain. In Bible times, battles took place when two opposing armies standing on two different mountains descended into the valley to fight. So these men went to fight in the valley, but they did not come out alive. They were overpowered by their enemies. Apparently, they fought with men who were stronger than them, and they went down.

Friend, if your strength is not enough, you will be overpowered by battles that come against you. If your strength is not enough, any adversary that comes against you will get a chance to disgrace you. If your spiritual strength is not enough, satanic manipulations and spiritual wickedness will easily find expression in your life. If you are not a person of great strength, what consumed others will simply show up and consume you as well.

Those men that ended up slain may have been strong on their own, but they faced adversaries that were stronger, and they were slain. They went with strength that was not enough, and they were wiped away. If you continue to operate with the strength that is not enough, you just might be wiped away by the battles of life. If you show up with more weakness than strength, the battles of life will make a mess of your destiny.

The only currency you need on the battlefield is strength; weakness is not needed. Do away with your weaknesses. Grow your strength; strengthen yourself in the place of prayer; strengthen yourself with the word of the Lord; strengthen yourself by spending time communing with God; strengthen your skills, abilities, intellect, focus, knowledge, understanding, etc. Do away with weakness and embrace strength.

Remember, if it is currently stronger than you, grow your strength, and you will become stronger than it.

Declaration
