Ignore The Noise

15th July 2020

Scripture Reading: Ezekiel 37: 1-14

Focus

“So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.” (Ezekiel 37: 7)

Prior to our Focal Scripture, God had told Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones, after which He (God) would cause sinews, flesh, skin and breath to come upon and into the dry bones. God did not speak of noise and a shaking. Notice that as Ezekiel prophesied, a noise arose. Ezekiel prophesied, and what he first saw was not what God told him. He spoke the word of the Lord, and the first result seemed contrary to the word of the Lord.

Friend, when you speak the word of the Lord and the initial result seems contrary to what you asked of the Lord, don’t despair, don’t imagine that the Lord has abandoned you, don’t imagine that the Lord is no longer on your case, don’t imagine that the Lord has been overpowered by the enemy, don’t imagine that the course of your progress has been disrupted, and don’t imagine that the noise means that God is absent.

Don’t allow the devil sell you a lie that God is no more able to do what He said He would do, simply because you have situations and circumstances that do not look like God made them happen. Don’t allow your faith to be weakened because there is ‘noise’ that you did not pray for or plan for. Don’t cast away your confidence in God for the simple reason that whatever you see around you does not look like God is behind them.

Notice that after the noise in the valley, the bones came together, each bone to his bone. After what seemed like a departure from what God said, the word of the Lord manifested. Even if you are currently seeing a departure from what God said, keep calm, be patient, and you will see a manifestation of the word of the Lord concerning you. Believe the word of the Lord despite the contrary evidence, and the word will prevail in a matter of time.

Don’t be counted among those who easily give up on what God said because of the ‘noise’ in the environment. As surely as God lives, after the noise, the word of the Lord will still be fulfilled.
