Incomplete Efforts

3rd June 2019

Scripture Reading: Mark 5: 21-34

Focus

“For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.” (Mark 5: 28)

The woman with the issue of blood was not able to touch Jesus; she was only able to touch the hem of His garment, and she was made whole. She did not score 100% but she got her results; she did not do the best that could be done, there were people close enough to touch Jesus, she may not have come close enough, but when she touched His garment, she got results. She didn’t get it all perfectly, but she got her results.

Friend, you may not get it all perfectly, but you shall have your results. There may be gaps in your efforts, you may not have done all that you should do, but God will cause your results to be made manifest in a matter of time; you may not have done the best to get the best clients, but they will come for you; you may not have done all that should open the doors for you, but your doors shall be miraculously opened.

The woman with the issue of blood may have originally wanted to touch Jesus, but when the multitude were thronging Jesus, the most realistic she could do was to touch the hem of His garment, and God caused her to get the results she desired. There are times when you sincerely cannot do all that you want to do; there are times when you simply cannot cover all the important grounds you should cover; grace will speak for you.

The same God that showed mercy to that woman with the issue of blood will show you mercy in the area of your weakness. The same God who saw the weakness of a woman who simply could not do more than she did will see your weak areas and do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Grace will fill the gaps you can’t fill; mercy will make the efforts you can’t make.

Ask God to cause your little to fetch you amazing results. Ask God to cause your incomplete efforts to yield complete results.
