Scripture Reading: Mark 11: 1-11

Focus

“And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.” (Mark 11: 2)

In Zechariah 9 vs. 9, it was prophesied that the Messiah would ride into Jerusalem on a colt. No mention was made of the man or men that would untie the colt. No mention was even made about whether the colt would be tied or not. The prophecy factored in the colt, and also factored in Jesus, but never mentioned which man or men that would be used to make it a reality.

Notice that in our Focal Scripture, Jesus Himself sent two disciples to go and fetch the colt. Jesus wanted to fulfill what was already written, and He sent two men that would help to make that prophecy a reality. Jesus could have chosen anybody; so even if those two disciples refused to go and help out, He would still find a way around it. Because the prophecy was settled, it didn’t matter who was willing or not- it was going to be fulfilled.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every word that God has spoken concerning you is a settled matter. It doesn’t matter who is willing or not willing; it doesn’t matter who is aligning or opposing; it doesn’t matter who is against you or for you; it doesn’t matter who wants to stop you or help you; it doesn’t matter if the environment is favourable or not. If God has said it, it must surely come to pass. God’s word will be fulfilled concerning you.

Stop losing sleep on account of people who may have turned against you. They may be against you, but they are not enough to stop what the Lord is doing in your life. Stop worrying about who wants to help you or who is refusing to help you. No man can stop what God has ordained for you; no man can hinder God’s plan for you; no man can thwart God’s agenda for your life; no man can change what the Lord has decreed concerning you.

The same way the colt came in contact with Jesus in line with the prophecy concerning it, God will cause you to come face to face with everything in His word that concerns you.

Declaration

God’s word concerning me shall be fulfilled, nothing missing and nothing broken, in Jesus’ name!

Memory Verse

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” (Isaiah 55: 11)
