It’s Coming To You

24th September 2020

Scripture Reading: John 5: 1-11

Focus

“After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.” (John 5: 1)

In the miracle which Jesus performed in the chapter preceding our Scripture Reading, the noble man reached out to Him and requested that Jesus heals his child who was at the point of death. In our Scripture Reading, Jesus Himself reached out to the man at the pool of Bethesda. In the miracle that came before, the man involved went to Jesus; in the miracle that came afterwards, Jesus went to the man and healed him. What the noble man ran after, came to the man at the pool.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: what others have been running after will come running to you. The favours that others run after shall come running to you. The opportunities that others run after will come running to you. The results that others run after will come running to you. The miracles that others chase after will come chasing after you. What others have been praying to have shall come to you on a platter of grace. What others are looking for will come looking for you.

The noble man in John 4 may have exerted some energy to seek Jesus and invite Him to intervene in his child’s sickness; but the man at the pool of Bethesda stayed where he was, and what he needed came looking for him. He didn’t need to exert a lot of energy before getting healed. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not struggle like others struggled before you get their results. You will not chase like they chased, before you possess.

Jesus knew the situation of the man at the pool of Bethesda; He knew that the man could not come for Him, and He went to the man. Put differently, He knew that the man could not go for the miracle, and He caused the miracle to come to the man. God already knows how weak you are with regard to the things you need; and He will cause you portion to locate you despite your inability. For your weakness, God will shorten your process.

Get set to receive that which others have been running after. Get set to be located by the desires of your heart.
