It’s For Good

22nd Septmber 2021

Scripture Reading: Psalm 92: 1-12

Focus

“But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God...” (Psalm 52: 8)

According to agriculturists, an olive tree is beaten with sticks in order to make the fruits fall off during harvest. The beating of the tree triggers the harvest of fruits. The beating of the olive may injure the olive, but it ultimately makes its fruits available. What looks like a process of pain, beating, injury and trepidation, triggers the harvest of the olive tree. The beating seems negative and painful, but the outcome is positive.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every adversity that comes your way in this season will trigger your harvest. Every conspiracy against you will lead to your promotion. Every disappointment will lead to a new season of a heavy harvest. Every injury on your person will trigger the outpouring of a new wave of harvest. When it seems that things are difficult for you, don’t fret: a greater harvest you have never seen is on the way.

There is a harvest that will not come forth from the olive until it has been beaten. There is a harvest in you that may never show forth until adversity arises. Every adversity that God permits is for your higher manifestation. Every hate and gossip thrown at you will trigger more harvest to come forth to you. Every damage done on your image will lead to more harvest. The trials and temptations are tools for your enlargement.

Joseph captured it amazingly when he declared to his brothers: “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50: 20 NKJV). Unknown to your adversaries, they have become cheap labour that will help you to the next level. They think they are working against you, but they will end up making your harvest grand and awesome. Your adversaries are mere messengers for your advancement and increase.

Look beyond the pains of yesterday and today, and begin to focus on the harvest of tomorrow. Everything will certainly work out in your favour. Every pain will lead to your pleasure.

Declaration

Every adversity I face will trigger my harvest, in Jesus’ name!
