Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 17: 1-53

Focus

“And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.” (1 Samuel 17: 43)

One of the steps taken by Goliath was to curse David by his gods. David came to fight on behalf of Israel and defeat the same man who had held Israel to ransom for forty days, and Goliath spoke forth curses in the name of his gods. Goliath invoked the negative powers of the deities he worshipped in order to curse David. He invoked the altars of darkness in order to make negative proclamations upon David. He raised curses for David.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every curse of the enemy that has been proclaimed against you, I decree, it will come to nothing. Any curse that the enemy has laid on your destiny, I command it to perish by the fire of God. Any satanic proclamation that has been made against you and yours, I decree that it will come to nothing. Every proclamation or incantation made on any altar against you, I decree, it will not stand.

No curse of the enemy will stand in your life. No evil word that is spoken against you will prevail. No evil proclamation made into your space will work against you. No evil words spoken into your future will stand. No evil words spoken to hinder your destiny will stand. No curse of the enemies of your destiny will stand. No enchantment or divination that has been made against you will stand. No curse will stand against you.

Notice that David did not sit back to accept the curses of Goliath; he refused them right away. If there be any man that is speaking curses against you, I decree, let their curses backfire on them. Refuse to be a cursed man when the Lord calls you blessed. Refuse and nullify every curse spoken against you by the word of the Lord. Even if you are unaware of the enchantments made against you, use the blood of Jesus to nullify them.

Remember, Jesus did not redeem you so that the words of mere mortals can make a mess of your destiny. Refuse the curses of the enemy, and they will not prevail against you.

Declaration

No curse of the enemy will prevail over me, in Jesus’ name!
