No Destiny Reduction

2nd February 2021

Scripture Reading: Judges 4: 1-10

Focus

“1. And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead. 2. And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.” (Judges 4: 1-2)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord sold them into the hands of Jabin, king of Canaan. The lives of the children of Israel were priceless, their destinies mattered to heaven, they were vital in God’s agenda; but the moment they deviated from God through sin, their destinies were reduced and they became cheap enough for the enemy to buy. Sin caused their destinies to shrink so much that enemies could buy them.

Friend, when you deviate from God, you are simply making your destiny affordable to the wasters that want to reduce you. When you lead a life of sin and immorality, you are simply inviting the enemy to take over your position as a gate keeper. When you make a mess of your walk with God, you are simply walking into a new realm where the enemy can easily feast on you. An invitation to sin is an invitation for destiny reduction.

The moment the children of Israel had their destinies reduced, the Canaanites (who were enemies of God) bought them over, and kept them in bondage. When the enemy buys your destiny, he is seeking a chance to destroy it. When you disconnect from God, the enemy will come close enough to preside over your future and your destiny. Every disconnection from God is a preparation for destruction by the enemy.

Today, I pray for you: if there be a destiny reduction that happened in your life as a result of sin in time past, I command a restoration. Let the glory you lost through sin be restored. Let the greatness you dissipated through wrongdoing be restored. I decree, no enemy of your destiny will buy you over. No power of hell will purchase your time. Your haters will not buy your destiny. You will not be too cheap for the enemy to buy.

Live like the gate keeper that you are. Live as one who must never disconnect from God. Live like one whose destiny should not be reduced.
