Scripture Reading: Psalm 92: 1-12

Focus

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” (Psalm 92: 12)

The cedar tree is inscribed on the Lebanese flag. It is inscribed on the national symbol of a nation. It is part of what describes the nation of Lebanon. The cedar in Lebanon is so strategic in the nation that it forms a part of their national symbol and, impliedly, their national identity. So when the psalmist described the righteous as a cedar in Lebanon, he was simply calling the righteous a national symbol.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to become a national symbol. You are about to become that one through whom your city and nation will come to light. You are that one that will stand out so much that even those who hate you will have no option but to come to your light. You will shine so brightly that you will bring light to the dark corners of your environment. You will be so important that you will possess national territories.

Get set: God will make you so strategic that when your city is being described, your name will be mentioned. You shall be so useful that when people want to talk about a place where you are, they can’t help but mention your name. Your identity may have seemed obscure in the past, but going forward, you will shine like a million stars. You may have reigned in obscurity in time past, but going forward, you will reign radiantly and shine brightly.

Just like the cedar in Lebanon stands out in the Lebanese flag, you will stand out. Even your haters will confess that you are standing out. You are positioned on the mountain of relevance and influence. You walk in undeniable visibility. The days of obscurity are over. The days of hiding at the back, are over. Henceforth, God is taking you from the back to the front. God is moving you from the place of covering to the place of prominence.

The spotlight is on you. The mantle of visibility is upon you. Get set to walk in more visibility then you have ever known before. Get set to shine like a million stars. Get set to be the definition of your nation.

Declaration

I move from obscurity to visibility; I am becoming a national figure, in Jesus’ name!
