No Opposition

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 6: 24-25, 7: 1-20

Focus

“Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.” (2 Kings 7: 2)

When Elisha prophesied about the abundance that was soon to be experienced in Israel, a lord on whose hand the king leaned queried the possibility. The lord heard God’s plan for His people, and he spoke words of doubt. He heard God’s plan, but he had a disposition that was in opposition to God’s will. He heard what divinity was about to make manifest, and he opposed same with his words. He opposed the good news coming to Samaria.

Elisha heard of the opposition of that lord on whose hand the king leaned, and he passed judgement. Elisha decreed death on the man who opposed the plan of God for His people. He passed the judgement of death on the opposer of the resources that God destined for His people. That lord showed up as an opposer, and because he stood in the way of God’s plan, he went down.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every man who is standing in the way of God’s plan for you will go down. Every man who wants to oppose what God has destined for you will go down. Every man who has vowed that your laughter will turn to tears will go down; every man who has vowed that your good news will not see the light of day will go down; every man who is speaking words against your results will go down.

Elisha understood the essence of an opposer to God’s plan, and he didn’t let the opposition survive. He saw the man who stood in the way of what God was about to do, and he understood that he was dealing with an enemy. May God grant you the wisdom to discern the enemies within who are only standing by to cut short what the Lord has in store for you; may the Lord open your eyes to see the enemies in close quarters.

Prayerfully scuttle the plots and plans of the enemies surrounding your destiny. Send every opposer of your destiny out!
