Not A Victim

Scripture Reading: Daniel 2: 1-22

Focus

“12. For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. 13. And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.” (Daniel 2: 12, 13)

When king Nebuchadnezzar ordered that the wise men of Babylon be destroyed, the enforcers of the king’s decree came for Daniel and his fellows. Nebuchadnezzar had earlier given an ultimatum for the wise men to tell his dream and give the interpretation; but when they couldn’t, he ordered that they all be killed, and Daniel was added to the number that would be killed. Daniel was about to become a victim of another man’s inefficiency.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be a victim of another man’s inefficiency; you will not be a victim of another man’s mistake; you will not be a victim of another man’s failure; you will not be a victim of another man’s poor performance; you will not be a victim of another man’s miscalculation; you will not be a victim of another man’s wickedness; you will not be a victim of another man’s inability and lack of capacity.

Some men were unable to deliver on the assignment that the king gave to them, and Daniel was targeted by those who should have focused on the wise men that failed the king. Daniel was to become a victim of an error he never participated in. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be a victim of errors and failures you did not participate in. You will not take the fall for what you know nothing about; you won’t be a victim.

If you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, then you are separated from the errors of other men; if Jesus has redeemed you, you will not suffer for what you know nothing about; if Jesus has redeemed you, you will not be visited with the portion of they that failed at their duty post; if Jesus has redeemed you, you will not be listed among those who will go down for nothing.

Ask God to keep you from being a victim of another man’s mistake; ask God to position you above the failures and mistakes of other men.

Declaration
