Our Focal Scripture captures the moment when Peter caught a multitude of fishes and reached out to his partners who came to help him. James and John were Peter’s partners, they were not the direct recipients of Jesus’ instruction to Peter; but when abundance happened, they filled their ship with fishes. They were connected to Peter, and that connection filled their ship. They had a positive, profitable connection.
Friend, as the ember months begin, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to walk into destiny connections that will fill your ship with the right fishes. God will cause you to come in contact with men who will connect you to the results you have been seeking. God will cause you to come face to face with people who will connect you to uncommon results. God will cause you to meet men who have access to what you need.
James and John became beneficiaries of the abundance that came to Peter. They became beneficiaries of another man’s abundance. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to become a beneficiary of another man’s abundance. Others will labour, and God will connect you to them so that you can be a part of their harvest. Others will receive an overflow that will flow towards you. You shall encounter results you didn’t push for.
James and John were connected to a man whose ship Jesus was using. They were connected to a man who had divine connections. They connected to one whose ship carried a higher value (Jesus). They connected to a man whose life could increase theirs. Be intentional to connect with men whose lives will increase yours. Be intentional to connect with men whose positive values will rub off on you. Discard men whose lives diminish you.
Break out of every unprofitable partnership you are currently locked in, and allow God to take you into new partnerships that will fill your ship.
