Quantum Leap

21st April 2021

Scripture Reading: Luke 19: 12-27

Focus

“And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.” (Luke 19: 17)

It is important to observe that the good servant mentioned in our Focal Scripture was a mere servant whom his master did not necessarily owe any special favours. He was a servant that was deemed worthy of handling one pound, but in a matter of time, he was appointed to have authority over ten cities. He moved from being a mere servant to being a ruler of ten cities. He moved from servitude to rulership.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are moving from servitude to rulership. You are moving from your current level to a higher, more massive level. You are moving from your little corner to a bigger space. You are moving from your small opportunity to bigger, massive opportunities. You are moving from wandering to possession. You are moving from doors to gates. You are moving from being under to being above.

One would have expected a servant to at least start by learning the ropes with one city before being given ten cities, but that part of the process was waived. The advancement of that good servant was simply a quantum leap. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your advancement shall be called a quantum leap. Your rising shall be called a miracle that bypassed process. Your rulership will come as a surprise to those who have always known you to be a ‘servant’.

If you are currently a servant, under the masters of this world, give your best service to your master. Give your best service wherever you have been called upon to serve. Give your best effort to whosoever has hired you as a servant. Give your all whilst trading with your one pound. Treat your ‘one pound’ service as a rehearsal for your ‘ten cities’. Put your best foot forward even if your position of service is insignificant at the moment.

The same God who lifted the servant with one pound will lift you too if you are faithful in your service. The same God who caused the servant with one pound to rise will also cause you to arise.

Declaration

I walk into my quantum leap; I skip processes, and I rise to the top, in Jesus’ name!
