Scripture Reading: Joshua 5: 13-15, 6: 1-6

Focus

“And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?” (Joshua 5: 14)

When Joshua understood the identity of the man that stood before him, who was actually an angel and captain of the Lord’s host, he fell on his face to the earth and worshipped. Joshua had a battle that needed to be won, and he worshipped. He met the captain that was a guarantee for victory, and even before the captain swung into action, he worshipped. Joshua used worship as a password to access victory.

Friend, when the biggest of the battles of this world come before you, switch to the mode of worship. Worship into your victories; worship your way into your next level; worship your way into your divine provision; worship your way into your divine help; worship your way into your season of favour; worship into your results even when you don’t know how to begin the journey; worship your way into your victory against all odds.

Joshua may not have known how to tear down the walls of Jericho, but he worshipped the one who knew how to tear down the walls of Jericho all by Himself. He may not have had enough men to win the war, but he engaged in the worship of Him who had enough soldiers to get the job done. When you find yourself in desperate situations, use the password of worship. When it seems you can’t proceed, worship Him who can help you move.

True worshippers gain victories even when they do not have all it takes to win. True worshippers eventually win against all odds. True worshippers hand over their battles to God through worship. True worshippers know how to get God to take over. True worshippers know that their problems might be big, but God is way bigger. True worshippers recognize and acknowledge God more than they recognize their issues.

Don’t wait for your battles to be won first before you switch into the mode of worship. Worship your way into your victory.
