Remember The Word

18th April 2019

Scripture Reading: Mark 16: 1-9

Focus

“But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.” (Mark 16: 7)

In our Focal Scripture, the Angel told the women who came to anoint Jesus’ body that they shall see Jesus in Galilee as He already said unto them. So Jesus had already told His people how He would resurrect and catch up with them in Galilee, yet those women came to anoint the dead body. He made a promise that He was going to fulfill, but they lost sight of the promise; He spoke a word but they forgot His word.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: even if you forget what God has said, God will not forget His own words. God will not forget to bring His promises to pass in your life; God will not forget to make happen all that He already promised to make happen for you; God will not forget to fulfill every part of His word concerning you; God will not forget His word simply because you have forgotten what He said. God remembers His word.

What is that word that God has spoken concerning you? Get set: He will fulfill it. God will fulfill His word to make you the head and not the tail; God will fulfill His word to give you power to make wealth; God will fulfill His word to make you a reflection of His glory as you gaze into His word; God will fulfill His word to break asunder the bars of iron that have been lifted against you. God will fulfill every word He has spoken about you.

Those women seemed to have forgotten His word, and they bought spices to anoint His body. They forgot His word, and they took needless actions. Don’t forget whatever God has told you; don’t forget the prophecies you have heard from God; don’t forget the words you have read from scriptures; don’t be a forgetful hearer. Keep God’s word in perspective and believe Him to do what He said He would do.

Remember, God’s word is God’s to fulfill, but it is yours to remember and declare it. Remember the word of the Lord and He will bring it to pass.

Declaration

God’s word concerning me will be fulfilled to the letter, in Jesus’ name!
