They Will Look For You

27th June 2019

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 16: 1-13

Focus

“And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.” (1 Samuel 16: 12)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how David was sent for and brought in to be anointed as King of Israel. David did not need to run around looking for someone to anoint him as king; he did not need to plan his coronation; he did not need to push for the throne. They simply sent for him and he was anointed. Greatness sent for him; what he should have been looking for came looking for him.

Friend, hear me today: they will look for you. Great men will seek you out to favour you; opportunities that will lift you higher will seek you out and favour you; the things you once sought after will come seeking for you; the things you once had to chase after will come chasing after you; the levels you once admired will come looking for you; you may have looked for them before, but they will look for you now.

What others are looking for will come looking for you; what others are chasing after will come chasing after you; the heights that others are dreaming of will come for you; the greatness that eluded others will come to you on a platter of grace; what others ordinarily fight for will come to you without much efforts; you will be invited to sit on your throne and wear your crown; greatness will literally come to you after your preparation.

There were people hanging around who could have been called up, but by divine orchestration, they were still present when David was sent for. Hear me as I hear the Lord: even if there are people already hanging around, waiting to be called, they will still send for you; you will be on your own and the higher levels you once prayed for will become your reality.

Focus on Jesus, and He will cause the kings of this world to send for you to favour you.
