Walk In Dominion

8th April 2020

Scripture Reading: John 19: 28-30

Focus

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” (John 19: 30)

When Jesus had said “it is finished”, He bowed His head and gave up the ghost. Jesus’ life was not necessarily taken from Him; He willingly released it when He was ready. He didn’t die because someone wanted Him to die; He died when He was ready to die; He gave up the ghost when He determined to do it by Himself; He chose the timing of His transition from mortality to immortality; Jesus was in charge, and not a victim of anyone.

Friend, if you have been redeemed by that same blood that Jesus shed on Calvary, then hear this: you are in charge. You were redeemed so that you can take charge; you were redeemed so that you can be in control of your destiny; you were redeemed so that you can rise above the wickedness of the wicked; you were redeemed so that you can cease from being a victim; you were redeemed to be all that God destined you to be.

If you have been redeemed, then walk in dominion. Speak words that are in line with God’s agenda for your life; walk in the consciousness of the finished work of Christ; walk with the consciousness that your life is hid in Christ and Christ in God; walk like one who knows that no power of hell can prevail in your destiny; walk like one whose life cannot be taken by the powers of darkness; walk like one who will only die when ready.

Jesus said in scriptures, “I have the power to lay down my life, and I have the power to take it up”. If you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, the same power that raised Him from the dead lives in you, and you have no business living under the stronghold and stranglehold of the enemy. You were redeemed to display and exercise the power of God here on earth. You were redeemed so that you can be in charge and take charge.

Walk in dominion; don’t accept to live like a victim; you are not a victim of this world and its machinations; you are God’s representative; you are heaven’s ambassador; you are in charge.

Declaration

I am God’s ambassador; I am in charge; I am not a victim, in Jesus’ name!
