Work On Your Wood

19th February 2020

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 6: 1-7

Focus

“So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.” (2 Kings 6: 4)

When the sons of the prophets came to Jordan, they cut down wood. They were not going to use the wood in its raw form to build the new house that wanted to build. They may have needed to cut the word, or dry the wood, and make it usable to build a house. So impliedly, there was a process of conversion that would see the tree become a house. The sons of the prophets had a responsibility to convert the wood to a house.

Friend, God may have put ‘wood’ in your hands, but it is high time you converted your ‘wood’ into a ‘house’. Convert your potentials into a business; convert your ideas and visions into a workable plan; convert what you have in your hands into something that can serve a purpose; convert the relationships you have into strategic partnerships that will serve your destiny; convert whatever is still in raw form into a finished product.

If all the sons of the prophets did was to cut down wood, they would have ended up without a house except they got someone to get the job done. If they lacked the creativity to convert wood into a house, they would have got raw materials without being able to get the final result. If all you know how to do is to fetch the ‘wood’ without any creativity to do more, you will end up without the final results you should have had.

In this season, ask God to baptize you with the oil of creativity. Ask God to plant in you the wisdom and foresight to see beyond your ‘wood’ and make a ‘house’ out of it. Ask God for the creativity that births uncommon results. Ask God for the wisdom to convert what you have into what you need. Ask God for the creativity to make a huge impact in your sphere of influence.

Anybody can cut down wood, but it takes extra creativity to make something out of your ‘wood’. Embrace the creativity that your ‘wood’ needs. Don’t just keep your ‘wood’; convert it into something bigger.

Declaration

I receive creativity to achieve uncommon results, in Jesus’ name!
