In the medieval era, the cedar tree is used in making weapons. So, apart from being made into boats that can carry people, it was also made into weapons that could be used to fight the enemy. The cedar tree was used in producing weapons of warfare. The cedar tree is used in making tools that will destroy the enemy. It was used in making something that would gain victory. It was used to make something that would prevail over enemies.
Friend, when the psalmist likened you to a cedar tree, he was simply saying that you are a weapon in the hands of God. He was simply saying that you are a tool that will be used to fight God’s battles here on earth. You are not ordinary; you are not meant to be a weakling; you are a weapon that will beat down the strongholds of the enemy. You are the person that will enforce God’s government on situations around you.
As 2021 gradually enters its last few months, there are battles waiting for you, and God says you are that weapon that will defeat the enemy. You are that weapon that will conquer the kingdom of darkness. You are that weapon that will conquer the wickedness in high places. Crush the wickedness in your city; trample upon the head of every serpent in operation in your environment; crush the bows of the enemy.
Get set to attack the enemy fire for fire. Get set to destroy everything that has exalted itself against the knowledge of God. When people attack you, don’t fret; they probably don’t know that you are a weapon. When sickness comes, don’t sit back in silence; address it with God’s word. When trials come your way, don’t succumb to the enemy; just remember that you are a weapon, and tread down every plan of the enemy.
Take a look at every battle around you and remind yourself that you are a weapon that can quench the enemy’s progress. Deal the enemy some deadly blows in the place of prayer. Use your prayers to stop the advancement of the powers of darkness. Don’t shy away from battle; you are a weapon.
