Jesus was born in the days of Herod the king. Herod was one king in bible times who needs no introduction; he ordered that innocent children be murdered just to ensure that no other king was born to succeed him; he sent the wise men to seek out Jesus so that he could find a chance to kill Jesus; he was against Jesus’ destiny, and he was completely committed to the mission of truncating Jesus’ destiny.
Despite the wickedness of Herod, Jesus was born in his (Herod’s) days. He was a most unfavourable king, but Jesus was born in his days. He opposed Jesus’ destiny, yet Jesus was born in his days. He was ready to truncate Jesus’ destiny, yet Jesus was born in his days. Jesus manifested despite the opposition that was waiting for Him in the person of Herod. The wickedness of Herod did not stop the emergence of Jesus.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the ‘Herods’ of this world will not stop your emergence. Your environment may be most unfavourable for the greatness you desire, but it will become your reality despite the unfavourable environment. Some people may already be plotting your downfall, they may already be plotting to keep your destiny under lock and key, but if God be for you, then no man can put out the light of your destiny.
God’s plan for Jesus predated Herod; God’s plan for Jesus was bigger than Herod. Hear this: God’s plan for your life is bigger than any ‘Herod’ threatening your existence and emergence; God’s plan for you existed before your ‘Herod’ began to exist. Align yourself with God’s plan, align yourself with the greatness of the God who has your life all planned out, and enforce His plan through your prayers and confession.
As surely as God lives, no ‘Herod’ can stop you; as surely as God lives, no power of hell can halt your movement in destiny.
