Prior to our Focal Scripture, Elimelech died while living in Moab; in a matter of time, his sons also died. A family of four got reduced to one in just a few years. Nothing went wrong while they lived in Israel, but they came into Moab, and the land turned against them. The land of Moab turned against a family of four and they were reduced. The land of Moab swallowed Elimelech and his sons. The land swallowed the men in one family.
Friend, as 2019 gradually comes to an end, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be swallowed. The land will not swallow you; the environment you are in will not turn against you; the land will not consume your efforts; the land will not reduce your family; the land will not swallow the lives of those who matter to you; the land will not orchestrate the untimely death of your family members; the land will not work against you.
Elimelech first died, and the next thing that happened was that his sons followed suit. Negativity began with one generation, and it continued in the next generation. Hear me as I hear the Lord: no negativity will find expression in your family. The negativity that happened before will not happen again; the evil that prevailed before will not prevail again; what consumed those ahead of you will not consume you.
If Jesus has redeemed you, you belong to the generation of those whose lives are beyond the reach of the enemy. If Jesus has redeemed you, you have dominion over the land. If Jesus has redeemed you, you have the power to defeat whatever defeated the generations ahead of you. If Jesus has redeemed you, you live above the power of the land that wants to reduce you and whatever or whoever is connected to you.
Enforce your rights in Christ. Speak to your land and command it to cooperate with you; command the land to supply you with good news; decree that the land shall not swallow you and yours.
