You Won’t Sink

Scripture Reading: Luke 8: 22-25

Focus

“But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.” (Luke 8: 23)

As Jesus and His disciples sailed on the lake, a storm arose, and their ship was filled with water. The water was meant to be on the outside, helping the ship to sail; but it came inside, weighing the ship down and threatening to sink it. The same thing that was meant to carry the ship turned around and wanted to sink it; the same thing that was meant to move the ship forward turned around and became a threat to the ship.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the water that is meant to carry your ship will not sink it. Anything that is meant to carry you will not sink you. The opportunities that are meant to take you higher will not put your destiny in jeopardy; the helpers of destiny that are on your side will not turn against you to hurt you; the men that are meant to add value to your destiny will not turn around to bring you pain and tears; the blessings that have made you rich will not feed you with sorrow.

Whatever the Lord has brought your way will not become a snare to your destiny; the relationships that are meant to be profitable to your destiny will not turn around to enslave you; the answers to your prayers will not become tools of pain and regret in the hands of the enemy; the ideas that are meant to bring you results and relevance will not push you out of your place; the steps that should move you forward will not impoverish you.

God did not create the sea so that it can sink ships; God did not bring the waters of life your way so that you can sink and go under; God did not do a good work in your life so that it can make the attack of the enemy against you easier. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your blessings will not work against you; your resources will not work against you; your breakthroughs will not work against you; your waters will not sink you.

Release the word of the Lord upon the ‘waters’ that carry you; speak life; speak peace; speak progress; command your ‘waters’ to carry you but not sink you.
