STOP COMPLAINING

2nd May 2023

Scripture Reading: PSALMS 23: 1-6

Focus

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” (Psalm 23: 1)

In Psalm 22, the Psalmist began by complaining about how God has forsaken him. Psalm 22 is literally filled with complaints from the psalmist. The words of the psalmist were miserable and full of negativity. In the later parts of Psalm 22, the psalmist began to speak words of praise to God. He changed his confession; and by Psalm 23, he began to speak of what the Lord has done for him. He changed his confession and his story changed.

Friend, change your confession. Change your utterances from negative to positive. Stop uttering negative words that will come back to become your reality. Stop confessing negativity with your own mouth. Stop using your voice to amplify the works of the enemy. Stop using your voice to announce the ideas of the enemy. Refuse to be an announcer of negativity. Refuse to use your mouth to speak words that will hurt you.

Life and death are in the power of the tongue; so instead of using your mouth to utter negativity, use the same mouth to speak positive words. When others are cast down, declare that you will be lifted up. When others are in fear, declare that you will trust in the Lord and not be afraid. When others speak of what the enemy has done, declare that God is about to release mind-blowing wonders in your life. When others give up and speak negatively, keep speaking positively. Speak life.

I do not know for how long you have uttered negative words; but as surely as God lives, do not utter words that will shut down your destiny. Do not utter words that will birth negativity in your destiny. Do not utter words that will cause the enemy to prevail over you. Do not utter words that will make you a victim of negativity. Do not utter words that will give the enemy a foothold in your life. Do not utter unfruitful words.

If you must speak, then speak life. If you must speak, then speak words that will birth positive results for your destiny.

Declaration

I choose to speak life; I will not utter words that will birth negativity for me, in Jesus’ name!
