NO MORE UNCOVERED

Scripture Reading: JOSHUA 2: 1-24

Focus

“But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.” (Joshua 2: 6)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of the stalks of flax which Rahab laid on her roof. Stalks of flax were used in making linen. So Rahab was involved in producing what could be used to make clothes, yet she had an identity of one who was mostly uncovered. She produced what could cover others, but she was a harlot who could be ‘uncovered’ at short notice. What she was able to make happen for others, she had no one to make same for her. She made a covering for others, but she was not covered.

Friend, I pray for you: in areas where you are uncovered, may the Lord cover you with His mercies. In places where the enemy is about to set you up for shame and disgrace, may the Lord cover you. In the places where the enemy wants to embarrass you and your family, let the Lord cause you to be covered. In the places where you are not able to make happen for yourself what you have made happen for others, may the Lord cover you. May the Lord cover you and stop your mockers from mocking.

Rahab had an identity that made it easy for her to be uncovered. She had an identity that made it easy for her to be vulnerable. Hear me as I hear the Lord: for every identity that makes men to take advantage of you, may the Lord cover you. For every identity that causes men to look down on you, may the Lord cover you. For every identity that causes men to disgrace and shame you, may the Lord arise and cover you. May your weakness be covered. May your vulnerable points be divinely covered.

Every garment of shame on your family is destroyed. May members of your family break out with good news. In any area where you and uncovered, be it in your expectations, finances, health, spiritually, physically, etc. may the Lord arise and cover you. Those that last saw you in a vulnerable position will soon see you in the place of glory and power. Those that last saw you in shame will soon see you in the place of honour and high favour.

The Lord gives you a new name, and you will no longer be an object of shame. You will no longer be uncovered.

Declaration

I will no longer be uncovered; I cease to be an object of shame, in Jesus’ name!
