As David journeyed to recover all that he lost from the Amalekites, he came in contact with an Egyptian in the field who had been abandoned by his master. David fed the Egyptian with food, and his spirit came again to hum. That Egyptian had been without food and water for three days, but when he was fed by David, his spirit came again to him. David gave him value, and his spirit came alive. David had the gift of a man he needed to give value.
Friend, in the course of your journey through life, you need the gift of men who will receive value through you. You will meet weak men who you need to strengthen. You will meet unknowledgeable men who you need to give knowledge. You will even meet men who lack wisdom, and somehow, you will have to become their source of wisdom. You will meet men who need your input and effort in order to rise from their slumber.
Notice that the Egyptian slave who was fed by David, had information that helped David to recover what he lost from the Amalekites. The person that David gave value, had results that David needed. It was only when that Egyptian slave was fed that he gave David the value he needed. Sometimes, when it seems that God is pushing you to give more and more men value, just maybe, those same men have value to give back to you.
May God open your eyes to see the men you need to give value so that they can in turn become useful and profitable to themselves and to you. There are men you need to give financial value; there are men you need to give academic value; there are men you need to assist to hit their milestones; there are men you need to give value in things of the Spirit; there are men you need to mentor and raise so that they can become champions.
Don’t be so fixated on the value you need from other men, that you forget to give value to those that God positioned around you to receive value from you. In all your doings, be intentional about giving value to other men.
