Walk In Purpose

16th September 2019

Scripture Reading: John 6: 1-12

Focus

“And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.” (John 6: 2)

When Jesus crossed over the Sea of Galilee, a great multitude followed Him because they saw the miracles He did on the sick. Because of what they saw Jesus do, they followed Him. They had a purpose in their journey of following Him. The distance may have been too much to deal with, but it didn’t matter to them because there was a purpose. Their purpose made the long journey of crossing the Sea seem like a small price to pay.

Friend, what is your purpose? Why are you where you are? Why are you doing what you are currently doing? Why are you on the pathway you are currently on? What is your purpose for following those you are following? What is your purpose for engaging in what you are engaged in? What would you say is God’s purpose for bringing you to where you are? What purpose is fueling your movement and progress?

Today, walk in purpose. Discover that which God will have you accomplish, and get ready to accomplish it; discover the assignment you have for your generation, and do well to fulfill it; keep your eyes on the goals that heaven has set for you; keep your eyes on the targets you have set for yourself; ensure that for everything you do, purpose is placed in proper perspective; ensure that your purpose is protected as you live your life on earth.

Mountains turn to plain grounds when they are crossed with purpose. Difficult tasks become easy when they are executed on the pathway of purpose; milestones that seem unattainable and unachievable become realities when purpose becomes the reason for their pursuit; new grounds that seem unconquerable become easy to conquer and possess when purpose is set in perspective; purpose is your greatest engine for progress.

If all you have is vision without purpose, you just might be living in a fool’s paradise. Walk in purpose.
