As Delilah kept on disturbing Samson for information about the source of his strength, it came to a point where the soul of Samson was vexed unto death. Samson simply got fed up with the demands of Delilah. Samson’s soul had become a victim of the efforts of Delilah. Samson’s soul had been tampered with, by Delilah. Samson had become affected by what Delilah was doing to his soul. Samson’s soul had become wounded.
Friend, anything that is wounding your soul is preparing you to become ordinary. Whenever your inner man is not in sync with the words of God, beware, the enemy is trying to prevail over you. Whenever your soul is caught up in bitterness, pain, depression, etc., the enemy is simply seeking a chance to make a mess of your destiny. Every attack on your mind is an attempt to make you ordinary. Every attack on your soul wants to reduce you.
Beware of those moments when your soul is so tampered with that you begin to question the existence of God. Beware of any season of your life where the enemy is causing you to think less of yourself and believe less of the word of the Lord. Beware of those moments when your bad experiences are putting your heart in a bad place. Beware of those moments when your mind is overwhelmed by the happenings around you.
No matter what is happening around you, don’t let it get into your soul. Don’t allow your negative experiences to take root within you. Don’t allow the words of men to take over your mind. Don’t allow the negative reports you have been given to make you lose your faith and doubt God. Don’t allow the enemy to plant fear in you on account of what is going on around you. Don’t allow your mind to be tormented by the enemy.
Remember, if it can hurt your soul, it will make you lose your relevance. Keep your heart with all diligence; don’t let the enemy overwhelm your soul.
