In our Focal Scripture, the Philistines called for Samson to make them sport. They demanded that Samson should entertain them. Someone who was raised to bring pleasure to heaven was suddenly reduced to the role of an entertainer. Samson was supposed to wipe out the Philistines, but alas, his life became an entertainment to them. Samson’s name was meant to make them tremble, but he eventually became their entertainer.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your life will not be an entertainment to the enemy. You will not be reduced to a point where you will entertain the gates of hell. You will not be reduced to a point where your efforts will attract the mockery of the enemy. You will not be reduced to a point where your life will become so meaningless that you will literally entertain the enemy. You will not entertain the devil.
God raised Samson to bring tears to the eyes of the Philistines. He was raised to wipe them out. He was raised so that they can mourn. I pray for you: may you become a terror to the kingdom of darkness. May the enemy see your prayers and shed tears of pain. May your efforts and labours put the devil in jeopardy. May your life undermine and extinguish the powers of darkness that have been unleashed on your generation.
Did you realize that whilst Samson dealt deadly blows to the Philistines, there was no room for him to entertain them? He only became an entertainment the very moment he left his destiny mandate. Always remember that once you abandon or even play down on your destiny mandate, you are on the way to becoming an entertainment to the enemy. Always remember that you were not wired to make the devil happy.
Arise, take your place, face your assignment, deal some deadly blows to the enemy and his wicked works, tear down the altars of darkness, and by all means, never be an entertainment to the enemy.
