In Joshua 1 vs. 13-15, some tribes had taken possession of their land, but Joshua commanded them to help other tribes to possess their own land. Some people possessed their possession; others were yet to possess their possession; and Joshua commanded those who had possessed theirs to assist those who were yet to possess their possession. Joshua’s generation was that generation that helped their brothers to possess their possession.
Friend, it’s not enough to possess your possession; help those connected to you to possess theirs too. Be that bridge that will connect men to their new season. Be that transition man that will carry men into their next level. Be that midwife that will push men into their destiny. Do all you can under God to plant men in their own garden. Be heaven’s conduit to cause a flow of grace and favour to men around you.
It may have been more convenient to forget about the tribes that were yet to receive their portion, but Joshua would not rest until they had received theirs. Even if God has settled you, do your bit to see that those around you are also divinely settled. Fight the battles that will help other men to enter into their rightful place. Use your strength to win victories for weak men around you. Fight for that ‘Jericho’ that your brethren should possess.
If only a few tribes possessed their portions, the rest that couldn’t possess theirs could have become a burden on those who possessed theirs. If people around you fail to possess their ‘Jericho’, it is only a matter of time before they become a burden to your own space. If you don’t help others to become all that God would have them become, they may become a needless, unhealthy burden to your destiny when the chips are down.
Ask God to make you a channel that will help others to possess their own portions. Ask God to bring everyone connected to you into their inheritance.
