Connected To Source

Scripture Reading: Luke 7: 11-17

Focus

“And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.” (Luke 7: 15)

When the young man that was set for burial came back to life, Jesus delivered him to his mother. It was the mother that Jesus showed compassion; it was the mother that attracted divine intervention; it was the mother that moved Jesus into action; and when the miracle of resurrection would take place, the young man was given back to his mother. He was connected back to the same person that attracted divine intervention. Simply put, he was connected back to the source of his miracle.

Friend, even when you have received that miracle you once longed for, stay connected to the Source. Stay connected to the same people whose prayers birthed your miracles. Stay connected to the same relationships that caused change to enter into your life. Stay connected to the principles that took you to the top. Stay connected to the prayer fire that caused your life to take a quantum leap. Stay connected to the same Jesus that raised you.

Jesus showed mercy on the dead young man because of his mother who was weeping; and when he was raised from the dead, Jesus handed him back to his mother. He didn’t hand him over to the other mourners; He handed him back to his mother. There are people God sends into your life who are there to stay. There are yet others who are not meant to stay. Discern those who you must remain connected to after receiving your miracle.

Notice that the young man did not even participate in the conversations leading to his miracle. He simply received the miracle of resurrection without knowing who attracted it. When God brings you to that point where you receive results that you didn’t pray for, be wise enough to discern the people that moved the hand of God in your direction, and stay connected to them. Don’t walk away because you are fine.

Don’t be counted amongst them who depart from the source of their gifts. Stay connected to your source. Ultimately, stay connected to God.
